Purchasing Points question
I currently have 1507 points in Hertz, and I have an upcoming rental that should earn me 1100 in bonus points [see: Hertz I have registered for the promotion and will be renting from a HLE on June 28/29 and returning July 2] and about 105-106 points (car rental $84.87 * 125% President's Club) from the rental. That puts me at about 2713 points give or take. I have an upcoming rental planned in late July for about a week and a half.
Seeing as I'm just shy of being able to redeem for a weekly rental, I'm thinking about purchasing 50 points for $10. However, I'm currently holding onto a reservation for the July rental with two rental days redeemed making my current points balance 157. Should I cancel that reservation to make my account balance show 1507, or do I include a printout of the July reservation?
Also, per the conditions of the bonus point promotion, it states:
"This offer has no cash value and cannot be used with Pre-Pay Rates, Tour Rates, Insurance Replacement Rates or any other promotion other than your CDP number." ... For anyone who has done these types of promotions before, would it be okay if my reservation had a PC attached to it as well (the 15% off base rate for weekend rental found on Hertz)?

You're right. I wasn't sure about the wording. I'll just rent a car between now and then if the price is decent enough.

You can't attach a PC code on a points booking if that's what you are asking. If you're asking if you can have a PC code on a paid booking and still be eligible for the bonus points, the answer is yes.

One more question: Let's say I end up with enough points for a free weekly rental. I currently have 1350 held up in the future rental. Do I have to book a new reservation or can I modify an existing reservation and add the existing points? Would it be best to contact a human for this, rather than doing this online by myself?

Okay, that's good to know.

Hmm okay. Yeah, the rate is the major problem. I'm locked in at a pretty good rate, but they've jacked up the rate by $200+ for the entire rental.
