PC tonight (Friday, around 10:30pm) was stacked!

10+ Chrysler 300, most of them S, and at least 2 of them AWD
6 Infiniti Q50
2 Camaros
1 Dodge Challenger
2 Ford Fusion Hybrids
1 Kia Sorento
1 pickup truck
With the few remaining spots filled with F's

Premium Upgrade was all Infiniti - about 5 more Q50's, a Q60, and a QX30.

I grabbed one of the Q50s - a newer one with only 1800 miles on it.

Interestingly the spot with the Kia in it had a label stuck on the wall behind it with "L4/K6" written on it. One or two other spots in the same area had similar (but different) labels. Makes me wonder if they aren't making an effort to keep at least one of a few types of car available. (According to the fleet thread the Sorento can be B4, Q4 or L4 - I didn't check which this one was)

The Gold aisle was about 2/3rds full at around 8am this morning. I ended up in a Hyundai Sonata but I also remember seeing a Chevy and at least a couple of Toyotas.

Didn't check out the upgrade section so I'm not sure what was there.

Checked PC again tonight when dropping off (Sunday, around 9pm)

13x Chrysler 300 of various types
1 Dodge Challenger
1 Merc GLE350 (just pulled it in as I was there)
1 Ford Explorer
1 Ford Fusion Hybrid
Maybe 4 Full size

Premium Upgrade had a Merc GLA250, Jag XF, 4 Infiniti Q50's and a Dodge Challenger.

The Explorer was parked in the same spot that the Kia Sorento was on Friday night (the one labeled as L4/K6), and it is a K6. The other two stalls with labels on them had "B4/Q4" (which had a Chrysler 300 AWD in it - are they considered an SUV by any chance?) and "S/O6" (pickup truck) which was empty.

Do you think there is likely to be much choice in the PC aisle on a Sunday morning around 10:00am or is this a bad time to collect a car as most won't be returning until Sunday evening?

SJC has so many cars on a weekend that they struggle to fit them in. A large percentage of their lot is unavailable on weekends due to them stack-parking cars.

The issue won't be when they are returned, it'll be whether they bother to put anything good in the PC lot. I don't think I've ever rented on a Sunday morning, so I can't comment specifically about that time.

No worries thanks for the feedback, I'll give it a go and keep my fingers crossed.

Was here a week or two ago on a Thursday night...rows were 100% full but pretty limited selection for my tastes, not even a 300.

PC
- Pick your color Impalas
- 2x Ford Fusion
- 2x Buick sedans (Regal/Verano I think)
- 1x small Nissan pickup
- Couple other assorted F sedans (Nissan/Toyota I think)

5* was very similar.

I rented 2 times at SJC weekday morning around 10am and didn't have much choices available. Just curious if you guys have experience when would be a better time to pick up from SJC (PC section)

Picked up from SJC 10am Jul 2, most stalls are occupied in PC section.

* Pick your own colors Maxima
* Pick your own 300s
* 2 x old Avalons
* 1x Pickup
* 1x Kia small car (don't know why it is in PC section)

That's it. Infiniti are in Upgrade section. No SUV;

Saw a few GLC but have been told they are not going to put it in PC section.

It's pretty bad.
