LCAR - FFAR upgrade ?

Dear Flyertalk community,

i have an upcoming rental at LAX in September (2 person road trip).

I already searched for this topic, but could not find a real discussion on this matter.

I changed my prepaid reservation from LCAR to FRAR and back to LCAR. Now i wanted to switch back to FRAR but the system would not let me "THIRD REQUEST TO CHANGE CANNOT BE PROCESSED [DE684]" . (I switched because the price for FRAR dropped and i could not get there without switching the car class again)

Since i seem to be stuck with LCAR now (i do not want to pay the 40 cancellation fee and start a new reservation) i wanted to ask how the classes (SUV- sedan) are valued to another.

Is an SFAR/FRAR considered an upgrade over an LCAR or are they equivalent?

I guess FFAR is considered an upgrade, but i would like your opinions on this.

best regards,

asam

Edit: I did now cancel and booked FRAR again since its the minimum i want. I am still interested how normal and SUV classes compare when it comes to upgrade fees.

FRAR -> FFAR = upgrade
LCAR -> FFAR = ?
