Molokai Accomodation

Ok, so I understand that Molokai is certainly limited in terms of accomodation, unlike Oahu for example.

However, does anyone happen to know of any 'budget' options that may just be available for myself for two nights around mid December? Perhaps something that's not bookable via the usual third party OTA.

There's a few larger Condos that would sleep larger families, but the two main resorts (Molokai Hotel and Molokai Shores) look like they charge anywhere between $50$100 for daily resort and cleaning fees! Is this a normal thing for the USA or Hawaii, or just for Molokai?

Any additional tips, particularly in terms of car hire, would be much appreciated. Thoughts?

All resorts here charge the resort/parking fees. You can try Airbnb or Vrbo but most will charge cleaning fees. Sorry don't know anything about renting a car but you would definitely need one.

Cleaning fees are part of your rental fees at most condos anywhere. Usually it's a "per stay" fee. I've seen $50>$200/stay.

Call: https://www.westmauicondos.com/ and see if they can help.

Thanks folks, you've been most helpful as always!

Ended up finding a place on AirBnB which looks lovely, will suffice, and comes with minimal additional fees.

As my Aunty says, "it's only money!"
