CO code shares?
Please forgive the cross-posting, but I wanted to see if any regulars on this board know whether or not CO will have code-shares with Hawaiian at least on the SFO-HNL routes. I believe CO had made such an announcement back in early September or late August regarding this route which was supposed to be effective Nov. 1. I tried booking on CO.'s web site for travel after Nov. 1 but was not able to find any code-share flights. Thanks.

In addition I wanted to ask if the Hawaiian air flights from HNL to OGG are code shares as well

Re the HNL-OGG (actually ALL the nice HA inter-island flights) HA flights. Some are official code share and some are not. The official CO code share price is usually 2-8 times the non code share price. If you give HA your OnePass number you will/should receive CO elite miles, etc. They are usually very slow to post to OnePass..

In almost all cases, it is cheaper to buy a ticket to HNL, and then separately buy your inter-island tickets (and do NOT do it through CO).
HA has some deeply discounted fares for $49.99 + $2.75 fees O/W (or whatever) for some flights. You cant do better than that. Go to www.hawaiianair.com to view and book. They also sell inter-island coupons for about $54-$64 O/W as do all the TA in Hawaii. You can also buy the coupons through the Bank of Hawaii ATM machines in the HNL airport or elsewhere. Aloha Airlines is OK. No CO miles though.
Some other deals are on the HA site. Search around and save. Good luck and enjoy the nice islands.

Another option is using 5,000 miles in either AA's AAdvantage, or NW's WorldPerks to get an inter-island ticket on Hawaiian Airlines, or 5,000 miles in UA's Mileage Plus to get a ticket on Aloha Airlines.
An inter-island ticket for 5,000 miles is, in my opinion, one of the best (if not the best) regular award deal there is out there.
Don't use CO OnePass miles -- they are greedy and want 10,000 miles for the same award on Hawaiian Airlines.

FYI, you earn 500 CO miles instead of 250 AA & NW miles for HA interisland flights.

And one also receives CO elite mile credit, elite miles bonuses (ie 125% of actual flight miles for the nice Platinum flyers etc) and an occasional double mile bonus. Of course I have not seen ANY credit for my last 5 HA inter-island flights. Sometimes things dont move very fast in Hula-land.
