I have the same question - UA 1k/MM - recently moved to the Islands and will probably do a bunch of intra-island travel... unclear if meet the Platinum organically, but worth trying a status match. Also unclear if willing to move business from UA to HA to mainland travel - but willing to keep an open mind.....

this MM in UA decides who gets my business based upon schedule convenience and trying to fly widebodies. Haven’t flown UA to mainland in quite awhile.
