I've got a bit of a difficult schedule flying; flying into HNL on UA then need to get to KOA on HA. I don't want to book too tight a connection, but want to leave open the option of catching an earlier flight if I can. Would booking an HA first-class ticket on miles offer me that possibility? Can't seem to discover the answer on their website.

seems like it would be a $30.00 change fee...ymmv as you are on a first class ticket

So I would be better booking an economy award ticket? From what I read from the above poster, it looks like changes are only $30?

This is the most recent thread I could find on this issue. I plan to get an award ticket, but may have to change my dates later. Am I to understand that for $30 per segment I can change the dates as long as the award is the same? As a United FA once said upon landing in HNL, "I'd like to mahalo you."
