Can I make changes to a HA first-class award?
 

I've got a bit of a difficult schedule flying; flying into HNL on UA then need to get to KOA on HA. I don't want to book too tight a connection, but want to leave open the option of catching an earlier flight if I can. Would booking an HA first-class ticket on miles offer me that possibility? Can't seem to discover the answer on their website.

seems like it would be a $30.00 change fee...ymmv as you are on a first class ticket

Interisland date/flight or reroute changes are subject to a $30 USD change fee per ticket plus any applicable difference in fare. No refunds will be issued if the applicable difference in fare is less than $0.Award tickets may only be rebooked onto another flight with available seats in the same class, for a fee of $30 USD per flight segment.

Award tickets for travel wholly within the State of Hawaii may only be changed to another award ticket for travel wholly within the State of Hawaii.

Wholly unused award tickets may be redeposited for a fee of $30 USD.

Standby travel is not permitted.

So I would be better booking an economy award ticket? From what I read from the above poster, it looks like changes are only $30?

This is the most recent thread I could find on this issue. I plan to get an award ticket, but may have to change my dates later. Am I to understand that for $30 per segment I can change the dates as long as the award is the same? As a United FA once said upon landing in HNL, "I'd like to mahalo you." ;)
