Folks - there's a huge DL fare mistake with fares going into EWR for that weekend. I caught $180 r/t from LAX all in as well as from CVG and other places. It works for other cities and other dates as well, so if DL works for you at any time - check it out and see if your city and dates are on sale.

Just a thought... rates are a killer that weekend.

NOTE: Looks like this is a shared bath situation... so not such a good deal.... assuming you even got past the reviews...
I know this place very well, two different friends booked here without my knowing and I picked them both up and took them to my place instead - the location is great, but the rooms are seedy, everything is shared and you can buy things from long term guests that don't contribute to your well being if you know what I mean.....

Well... that is not exactly a booming endorsement... but some might like that... I never stayed there... not one for shared facilities... but location and price was good.

Sad basic truth in Manhattan -

If the regular rate of the hotel is under $140/night (not via Priceline or Hotwire, not a huge sale and B&Bs may not be as bad) but otherwise, you better check it out thoroughly because it's probably very questionable.

OK folks, I'm starting to need a more clear headcount on events.

If you are thinking about going (or figured out that you can't come), it's time to let me know your plans. This group will probably be a bit smaller than last year, but that also means we'll be more maneuverable.

No one interested?-Bunch o' philistines
Honestly- the dearth of serious interesting theater or even a good musical that has not been around since Rudy is pretty sad.Still going to NYC without seeing a show just seems sacreligious

Don't fret BGiP -

I think people just haven't wrapped their brains around scheduling yet. Ask again closer to the time, and I think you'll get more takers.

Regarding museums, if you haven't been to the Frick Collection yet (a few blocks south of the Met) it is also an absolute must.

BGIP - I'm coming to NYC early, but I'm really interested in MoMa and Target's free Fridays... maybe before the Friday night activities?

What's a museum?

Now, if you want to meet at Magnolia's for a cupcake, I'm there.

I have been told this is a "must" do.

Have all day meetings on Saturday, but will be around other times, so count me in as ready.
