Lounge Access
Hey - was reading an interesting thread in the BA Forum about Lounge Dragons.
Suggestion was made to start a sticky where elite members flying solo would offer lounge access for other solo passangers (non-elites, or pax w/o lounge access) flying similar itins. (see below)
Sounds like a good op to meetup with fellow FTr's...
Anyone interested in starting a sticky where we post airport, terminal, lounge, time??

That's a cool idea.
I wish we could have a calendar where you could just click on the day and see who is where. Like the FT events/Do's calendar. The itinerary thread is a bit cumbersome. Especially without a search.
Me: UA RCC, US Club, DL Crown Club (and has NW, CO day of travel privileges).
Tomorrow, 3/16, 7am-9am RCC at IAD.

Why not!
Sounds like a good plan to me. I hope it's easier to scan and follow than the monthly itineraries that people post.
I have World Club (NW) membership that gets me and (usually up to 2) companions to SkyTeam lounges. I'd be happy to bring fellow FTers along.

Why is this in BLT?
FYI - some NW lounges (MSP comes to mind) have two entrances. You could, theoretically, sneak hordes of people in! Not that it's ethical, but that doesn't seem to bother everyone...

And this is in GLBT forum, because it's more fun to let in fellow GLBT FTers, I think.

Isn't this more or less what the Itineraries posting is for?

I'd love to take other GLBT FTs into lounges. Perhaps we should get some sort of luggage tags like the FT tags.
I actually saw someone with an FT tag in a lounge in FRA the other day. Perhaps had I seen him in the terminal, I would have invited him.

I think the posting of trip plans is VERY confusing and hard to read.
What about the Yahoo calendar (did this depart from lack of interest?).
There is also calendars.net that might be a better presentation.
I'd be happy to get someone access to a club! Or even access to the shower room at ORD in the back hallway of the Admirals club....

GREAT GREAT Suggestion!
Can we put a sticky up front about this (HEY MODERATOR!) so it stays up front and everyone posts it!
My next five trips have been posted!

I agree with ScottC. I think the common location would be much nicer.. hey get to meet some other travelers without regard to their preferences. If the preferences do match, the conversation changes from traveling to tramping! ok?!
By saying 'GLBT' we are being exclusive. Some posters may say 'G' or 'L' or 'G<30'.
Since we are posting in a common all-user location why not use some other 'secret sign' in the comments (smileys not allowed).
Instead of saying 'GLBT Lounge Access' ... lets try 'Lounge Access for new friends'. This would be neutral enough that a new friend could by GLBT or not! [and for those of us in the secret club .. we would know that really means New Friends of Dorothy!!]
