Connecting Frankfurt to Tel Aviv will I have time to store luggage
Hi
I am considering flying YYZ-FRA-TLV
Air Canada to Lufthansa
I have a three hour and fifteen minute connection (in the morning)
I am staying in Europe afterwards for a long stay and I have two large bags (work stuff also)
which I'd rather not take to Israel
because it is so much
Do flyers think I will have time, after security checks, to be able to store it at the left luggage
Will I have time to, with security checks to make it?
PS thanking everyone in advance

I wasn't aware that you were allowed to check in luggage for days on end in the left luggage area of the airport. (You did not mention how long your trip to TLV is...)
If I am not mistaken, Germany is also in a security alert now with their recent elections, too, so I'd think the likelihood to be even slimmer as a result.
I am not sure, but I think your only options would be to send the luggage to your local work branch in Germany and have them hang on to it or convince the hotel you're staying at after your trip to TLV to hold the luggage for you (but you'd probably need to ship it there UPS or FedEx in that case...).
I may have an overly strict idea of what's allowed in these kinds of situations, but my gut is telling me no.

oh I only wanted to store my luggage for a week at Frankfurt Airport
The only thing I am spending my first week in Tel Aviv (and would only like to take a small bag of essentials) which is before my Europe stay
And my work is in Dussseldorf (I'm just going to take train from Frankfurt airport)
But for the rest of my time in Europe I have two large bags

Last year I stored my luggage in the MUC left luggage office for 2 weeks with no problem. I doubt FRA is different.
I'm not sure where the luggage room is in FRA, but you should have enough time. 3h15 is a long time, even with the extra security for the TLV flight.

Thank you thank you
This has made me more calm
Does anybody know, kindly, if I fly YYZ-FRA-TLV
(star alliance AC-LH)
Will an airline check one bag through to Tel Aviv
and two to FRA
(assuming I of course take my seat on FRA-TLV)
I'm sure they won't because of security but I'm just curious

In the worst case, check all of your bags to FRA, then in FRA check the one bag in for the TLV flight after putting the other two in storage. If they ask why in Canada, tell them you wanted to buy some duty free wine in FRA and check it through to TLV. With 3h15 you will still have plenty of time to do this, especially if you are continuing on with LH.

oh thank you everybody
because I will have about 150 kg of luggage in two bags that I want to store (work stuff) I didn't want to bring it to Israel
because I'm sure it would take security a while to go through everything
i only really need one bag 10 to 15 kg of stuff for my week in israel
thank you
it is very helpful
