a search brings up some similar threads. I suggest you read them and come back with more detailled questions.
and you may want to add what airline you're flying since it has an impact on the terminal.

I am sure a search will reveal many suggestions, but in short you can easily take the S-Bahn into Munich (45 min max) and have a look around at minimum Frauenkirche, Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt etc. Last time I was in Munich I spent too much time in Hugendubel which is not much help unless you speak German! These links might also offer ideas:

6 hour layover in Munich
Hi folks,
I have an approx 6 hour layover in Munich on Monday (reach at 1pm, depart at 8pm). I was wondering if anyone had ideas on what to do during that time? Is there enough time for me to head into Munich?
Also, I don't have status on United/Lufthansa so won't have access to their lounges.
Add'l note: I visited Munich 2 years ago, and did the touristy highlights while I was there. So have done a lot of the 'typical' activities already!
Would love any ideas!
Thanks!

You need ~40Min to the City Center and 40Min back to the Airport. I remember the Ticket cost ~25 just in the City Center. You have just ~3h time for thats not verry much...

The train ride from airport to Stachus takes around 40 minutes using S 8 or 48 minutes using S 1. Since you have to clear security your time in downtown Munich will be reduced to 90 to 120 minutes.

I'll be heading to MUC tomorrow with a 6+ hour layover (15:00-21:00), and have two questiond in mind:
-Is there a KaDeWe ewuivalent in Munich, or in its environs? Would that be the Viktualien markt as noted above?
-Is there a Namibian restaurant?
Danke,
BMB
PS, if anyone wants to meet up, that could work.
