You can park in the street "Prinzregentenufer" near subway station "Wöhrder Wiese". Parking is free there. It is next to the Technical University "Georg Simon Ohm". The ride with the subway is just 10mins to the airport. Only risk is during main university times (08:00-13:00) it can be difficult to find a parking space. Then you should look for a S-Bahn P&R, take the train to main railway station and change to subway line 2 to the airport. For example you can park in Schwabach railway station, near A6 Autobahn, take the S-bahn S2 and change to subway in Nuremberg. Trip is around 35 mins and parking is free at Schwabach railway station, except the parking garage.

thank you for your replies. Much appreciated.
I'm still waiting for tips.
Paid parking is ok, as long as it's not a rip-off as it's the case with all airport parking.
a) first parking is in the city center "Prinzregentenufer".
As you said, it can be busy during certain hours.
Second, I find the positioning inside the city centre quite inconvenient due to traffic.
b) parking in Schwabach is very, very far away.
Also, changing trains when you travel with checked-in luggage is not a pleasure.

https://www.parkopedia.de/parken/par...g=202202061130 is an option I suppose. You can take the U1 towards Hauptbahnhof from there and there change to the U2 to the airport. Plus it's close to the highway.

I will try it.
It says "free for 2h".
It may be the case that I leave the car there for 2-3 days or longer (8-10 days).
Do you know if that is formally or actually an issue?
Thanks again
