Oktoberfest 2014
Anyone thinking of traveling to Oktoberfest this year?
I am contemplating a solo trip for the closing weekend but some good and new company would be great too!
Any specific recommendations on where to go and where to stay?

Check out this thread from last year:

Accommodations get very expensive during Oktobefest (easily double or triple normal prices, if not more), so be flexible in looking for a room if you don't want to spend an arm and a leg (check hostels, airbnb, etc.). The sooner you can book, the better, as many people have already received their table reservations and finalized their plans at this point, so things are getting pretty full. Going solo can be a great way to enjoy the experience, as you're much more likely to find a table to squeeze into if you only have to worry about yourself. The good news is that the closing weekend is the least busy of the three.
How long are you thinking about going for? Are there any particular types of activities you like? Easier to make recommendations with a little more info from you.
