DUS closed due to a bomb thread

Don´t know, if this is interesting, but Düsseldorf Airport (Dusseldorf / EDDL / DUS) is currently closed due to an unattended suitcase found in the departure area in Terminal A or B.

All incoming flights are diverted to other airports, all outgoing planes are not leaving right now.
Planes that were in process to disembark are parked on remote locations (People are still sitting in their planes since 6 pm local time)

German news (spiegel.de) are reporting, that the police is investigating right now but they are unsure, if they will reopen the airport soon ...

The airport has re-opened at 9 pm - the suitcase was not a bomb. But inside the police found 4 packs of drugs ...

Because of the suspension of all traffic (planes, trains, etc.) for a couple of hours the goverment agreed to let planes fly out of DUS up to midnight, so that at least some of the planes were able to depart for their destination.

21 flights were diverted to CGN. Wonder if CGN was even able to handle all the traffic. Normally in the evening the airport is a ghost town and only cargo planes are coming in and leaving.

Everything is back to normal now, hence no need to worry.

Also curious to know if people connecting to destinations that are also served from CGN were reaccommodated on other flights from there (i.e. CGN-TXL instead of DUS-TXL).

Now I know why there must have been a terror plot, it is probably the German customs is cheating tourists. I also thought about exploding Hamburg airport and here is the reason http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/germa...ially-now.html
