My daughter is arriving muc business class from
Ewr three hours before us. Thanks to some good advise from flyer talk members I have learned that she can wait in the lufthansa lounge until we arrive. ( verified by a call to lufthansa )

My question is will she have to leave the security area to retrieve her luggage? If so will she be allowed back in? If not can she leave her luggage unclaimed without it being stolen or confiscated.

Can you think of any other solutions?

I realize that was more than one question.

Thanks for your help in advance

You can not go back after you entered the luggage claim area. It is however not in the open and unclaimed bags are retained for a while in the area between belt 8&9 by the people who handle lost and delayed luggage.

Hello all - similar question: Arriving MUC on a US Airways business class ticket - connecting to SOF via LH coach ticket. Will I have any lounge access?

I didn't realize when I booked that the LH segment was in coach.

Unless you are *G, then you will have no lounge access.
*A lounges are departure-only, unless specified as an Arrivals lounge.

And he even would not get access to the LH welcome lounge as this requires a LH C Class flight.

you will need a boarding pass to re-enter the security area.

I've read through this thread and still need to ask....

I will travel thru MUC on my way back from Belgrade (non-Schengen) next week. I'm arriving in the early evening in Y on LH and would like to use a lounge if possible to wait for a colleague who will be arriving about an hour later on a different flight. We'll then head into town together for dinner, etc.

I'm 1k / *G and will be traveling back to the US from MUC (in C on UA) the following day. I expect to have my boarding passes for the UA flights in hand in MUC.

Any chance I'll be able to access any of the MUC lounge options?

As *G you need a BP for a same day departing *A flight to access LH lounges. However, MUC has plenty of places to spend an hour between the two terminals.
