Nuremberg over Christmas

Any suggestions on where to stay or what may be open in Nuremberg over Christmas and the days following? I am escaping staying with my brother-in-law's family and doing a mini vacation to Nuremberg. I speak hardly any German unfortunately. Looking for a nice hotel with a hot tub/sauna to just relax. thanks!

We stayed at the Hotel Drei Raben (3 Ravens I think). It seemed like a "funky' hotel with 70s colors in the lobby/bar and the rooms had different themes reflecting Nurnberg's history. Ours was the Toy room. The theme didn't affect the room too much. They had some toy soldiers on the ceiling and a couple of areas where you could scribble notes on the wall.

Unfortunately no hot tubs that I saw. It was in a good location and an easy walk from the train station.

Unfortunately, not much will be open. Christmas falls on a Saturday, so what would normally be open will be closed, and then Sunday almost everything is closed. Also, on the 24th, many stores will close earlier than normal since Christmas is the following day.

Looking for food, I'd say the area from the train station to the red light district will be your best bet.

Things might be open most of the afternoon on Dec 24th, but keep in mind, Germans start celebrating Christmas Eve--that's family time. Nationally, everything is shut on Christmas Day and the day after Christmas. So, until Monday, things will be very quite.

Drei Raben is a very nice hotel in the old town. Boutique hotel.

SPG's LeMeridien is right at the gate to the old town.

Of the two, LeMeridien might have a jacuzzi tub, Drei Raben certainly will not. And I doubt even if LeM has a spa, that they will be offering any services that weekend.
