According to Vital Vegas, Laurel Lounges are gone forever from Vegas. https://vitalvegas.com/source-laurel...nment-casinos/

Diamond Lounge/Laurel Lounge has been ripped out of the Horseshoe SHV for good. The former lounge space is now the Red River Room which is just another bar - anyone can go in and pay for drinks.

When I stayed at Paris last month they told me the lounge was hoping to be reopen by Mid-June. I hope they don't remove them, if I do I may as well just put the spend on the credit card for the MVP card since that gives me all the benefits I use with diamond status anway except for the no resort fees and I can just stay at a HGVC for those stays.

I mainly play in Atlantic City which have Diamond and Seven Star Lounges. Pre-Covid the Diamond lounges had hot food all day, in Caesars Palace it was just for 2 hours (and only chicken wings, plus one other hot dish), the rest of the time it was salad, chips, fruit plate and some mediocre desert items--but the drinks were free.
Caesars Palace is planning on reopening the Bacchanal Buffet (with reservations through OpenTable possible). I'm guessing that when the buffet is working they'll reopen the Laurel Lounge.

Vital Vegas has been wrong many times in the past, let's hope this is another time.

They were actually sued for saying Sahara was going to close

Note: This hasn’t been officially announced or confirmed

I'd bet they will be back. I liked the relaxing in the lounge watching part of a game with drinks +snacks. And it was great that there were several of them spread across CET on the strip. It was always fun bringing a friend in and having them see behind the curtain of these lounges. I wasn't a fan of the really short hours of hot food times daily. This means everyone and their mothers shove into hot food times for the free food making it an unpleasant experience for everyone involved.

Why? Do you have any reason to make this bet? Other than the fact that you liked the lounges?

Everything I've seen from Caesars over the past year and a half indicates a pervasive culture of cost-cutting and benefit-stripping.

While it would be nice to see lounges return, I have no reason to bet on that happening.

I guess we can now safely assume that Laurel Lounges are gone forever. The replacement benefit (ONLY in Las Vegas) has now been formalized on Caesars' website:

https://www.caesars.com/las-vegas/lvoffer

Outside of Vegas it appears that closed Diamond/Laurel Lounges have been replaced with the alternate benefit of.. bupkis. You will get nothing and like it. The Caesars cost-cutting and benefit-stripping continues unabated.

The point of the Laurel Lounges are for gamblers to have some where to go to take a break from gambling. Unfortunately, There are too many non gamblers in Vegas that just take up resources and the true gamblers are stuck waiting outside trying to get in. The coupon system, while not the greatest, is still something. Getting 4 drinks a day / 28 drinks a week is not a bad thing.

But outside of Vegas the coupon system is nothing. As far as I know, in all other markets where Laurel/Diamond Lounges have permanently closed, there is no substitute benefit.

This is from an email I received recently. Info in URL. https://caesarsrewards.custhelp.com/...f765901a49f2a2

Last year, it was our intention to take time to reevaluate the experiences we were offering to our best guests. With an unmatched $400 million investment into our Atlantic City resorts, we wanted to ensure our lounge experiences we were offering was on par with the resort transformation happening at Caesars Atlantic City, as well as complement the new dining, entertainment, and room product at Harrah's Resort and Tropicana.

After thoughtful consideration, we are thrilled to share the following updates to our VIP Lounges for 2023.

• All three resorts: Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana will offer Laurel Lounges with food and beverage offerings as a Tier Benefit in 2023.

• Caesars Atlantic City will reopen a new Laurel Lounge experience. More details on this new experience will be coming soon.

• All three resorts: Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Tropicana will offer best-in-class Seven Stars® Lounges with food and beverage offerings, exclusively for Seven Stars members.

Lounges Locations and Hours of Operations:

There are still Laurel Lounges in the AC market. Its much better than any of the Laural Lounges when they were open in Vegas. I cannot cornfirm all the other markets but the Laurel Louges are still out there, just not vegas. I've been on that long line in Vegas. Chicken wings and drinks. its was nothng to talk about. I'll take the 4 drinks and enjoy them at my pace.

Again, out of all the markets that lost their Laurel Lounges, a replacement benefit is only available in the Las Vegas market.

Seems ACY has retained most of its lounges which is a very good thing.

Unfortunately, most other markets lost their lounges. And only in Vegas has anything been provided to make up for that permanent closure of lounges.

To me, it's a clear devaluation. Especially given the loss of the parallel benefit of free drinks for Diamonds in restaurants even at properties that had open lounges.

Not quite - Tahoe provides 4 drink vouchers, one of which is valid at Starbucks and a $10 food voucher for 7 Stars (unless it has recently changed). But I agree with the gist of what you are saying. Even the Tahoe benefit has been significantly downgraded with time. Used to be able to use the vouchers for a glass or 3 of wine at any of the restaurants. Now they are only valid at the bars on the casino floors (and the dollar value permitted is significantly lower than Vegas)
