Future of Caesar’s Diamond Lounges

Apologies if this is posted elsewhere. In a Covid-19 world what do you think the Diamond Lounges future is?

AC with the huge food buffets are gone for a while in the diamond lounges.

For Vegas what do you think the future holds? Maybe a small menu i think New Orleans offers this instead of a buffet? or saran wrapped pre plates on buffet so less exposure, no serving just pre plates wrapped? Capacity is already tight putting more space between tables is possible i guess, but we will see some big hits on capacity. Maybe every other seat at the bar, not that leaves too much

Do they offer now or will they offer free drinks at casino bars? Maybe that i the easiest alternative until diamond lounges reopen. I know you can play and get free drinks but sometimes you just want to relax. Cromwell i think offered this 5-7pm as they have no Diamond Lounge maybe an enhanced version of that?

The Diamond Lounge in Caesars Palace in LAS, except for 4 pm-6pm, had minimal items: salads (fruit and vegetable) chips, coffee and a few desert items--from 4 pm-6 pm: chicken wings and one other hot item. A waiter brought drinks. For the near term that arrangement shouldn't run afoul of VIRUS restrictions.
In AC, the 7* lounges at Caesars and Harrah's is waiter service only.

That was a nice Diamond benefit that Caesars killed last year.

To be fair, it was never an advertised or listed perk and benefit for diamonds. So nothing to really end. Many players and especially employees didn't know or never heard of it. So it seem like it was more of courtesy and good gesture for the higher tier card holders/players.

I know many of the bars that used to give free drinks to diamonds and 7* stopped doing it. But a few of them still do. But it's really hit or miss, since there's no standard policy for it. The ones I know of that still do are Cromwell Lobby and Bond bars, Bally's lobby bar, PH Heart Bar (REALLY hit or miss). This was based off my last trip back in February.

I am familiar with what Diamond Lounges offered. I am actually a huge fan because i like a place to sit back and get away from the tables. Plus the drink quality at the diamond lounge is usually excellent.

I guess my question is more what will their futures be? Do they have re-opening dates announced or anything? Maybe have to just wait and see

Diamond lounges in Vegas are closed, members can get 4 free drinks at several bars but only if you are Daimond plus..........I imagine this policy will change to include all Diamond levels if the lounges stay closed for a while
Diamond Plus And Above Get:
  • Four free drinks per day ($20 per drink) at
    • Alto Lounge
    • Lobby Bar
    • Vista Lounge
    • Spanish Steps Bar
    • Venus Pool Bar
    • Vanderpump Cocktail Lounge
    • Starbucks

I doubt it since Diamond Plus status is what you need anyways to access the lounges without paying the 1K RC fee per person. Giving four drinks (up to $20/each) by paying a 1K RC fee per person would be way too generous.

When the Diamond lounges are open you can get more than 4 drinks per visit for paying the 1K RC entry fee and if you go at the right time also get a light meal.

In reality very few people are going to have regular diamond status and not have 1000 Rc's so it makes sense to offer the regular Diamonds at least a drink or 2 and keep them happy.

As far as the $20 per drink goes lets not forget a Heineken costs ~ $12 at a bar at Caesars so it's not like people are getting Johnny Walker Blue neat comped.

I edited my post as it had a typo

Just out of curiosity, do the tables you play at dictate the drinks you can be served? Playing craps at Caesars you could expect to order and receive Makers but not sure if that's also the case at a video poker machine.

They've changed the screen on the slots in Caesars Palace for viewing Total Rewards Card info. Perhaps as in AC, you will (eventually?) be able to order drinks from that screen with a programming upgrade.
