Diamond Status & resort fees

Hey Guys,

I am enroute to Vegas and have a question on resort fees.

How strict are they on covering resort fees on one room only? My brother is a smoker and I would prefer separate rooms.

Would booking another room at another property work?

Thanks

Pretty much zero chance. I've never tried it but have heard from others that you can't have more than one reservation (even within the entire CE network) on the same day under the same TR number.

As you know and stated already, the waived resort fee benefit is only covered for one room only. How strict they are, guess it depends on the FD agent you get. There's no basis or enough data points to suggest if any property is more lenient from another. For booking at another property, your chances of both rooms getting waived is a little higher since the FD might miss your other reservation at another property. It's a gamble. Good luck!

Not true, you can have as many reservations/rooms as you want under your account at the same time, given if you're willing to pay for it, or a host would comp you more than 1 room. Problem is you can't do it online, since the system will flag it if you have or try booking a reservation during the same time as a current one. You would have to call to book a 2nd reservation/room during the same time frame.

And they will waive resort fees for all rooms under the same Diamond Card?

That, no. Didn't know that's what you meant. From what you stated, I thought you were saying you can't have multiple reservations/rooms under one account.

Yeah, OP was asking about fees being comped and I didn't clarify that.

I guess having multiple rooms at the same time could be needed. Let's say you are bringing your wife AND your mistress to Vegas I'm glad Caesars has me covered.... LOL.

I have had multiple rooms comped under my card at both Harrah's and MGM properties and never paid any resort fees. I always do it through my hosts. (I am a 7* and Noir, however, but the hosts can do it for Diamond and Platinum accounts.)
