mLife getting desperate? latest comp offer covers NYE

Just got my mLife comp offers thru Feb 2020. Can't believe it shows rooms on NYE !
mLife must be getting desperate..
Plat here, 100% gaming spend.
I wonder if CET will follow suit.

I'm just barely Platinum, with about 40% of tier credits from non-gaming spend, and I see my offers also include comp nights over NYE, even at Bellagio and Aria. Last year we stayed at Rio on a comp offer over NYE, even though I was diamond with only about 300 tier credits because I'd dropped off my CET play after the Diamond Lounge entry requirements changed.

Not sure if mlife is desperate or if this is an error. They dropped the Gold/Plat room rate discount from 20% to 10% in mid-July, which doesn't seem like a desperate move, but the more I think about it, my play hasn't changed much but my offers have been getting better over the last year (used to get 4 free nights with $50/75 freeplay and $100 resort credit and now seeing 4 free nights with $200 freeplay and $250 resort credit in this latest offer).

I'm a low Diamond at CET and for NYE could get comps, but for the higher end properties (Caesars, PH, Nobu) was showing I would have to pay for 12/31. I prefer to stay at PH, so I emailed my host requesting to stay 12/28-1/1, planning on paying the $150 for NYE. She responded asking if my wife would be with me, when I replied yes, she said she would comp the entire stay. Works for me

I stick with CET because of how generous their room comps are. Also got comp 5 nights for next March for the NCAA tournament. For my level of play I think CET is far better than the other programs
