I'm just barely Platinum, with about 40% of tier credits from non-gaming spend, and I see my offers also include comp nights over NYE, even at Bellagio and Aria. Last year we stayed at Rio on a comp offer over NYE, even though I was diamond with only about 300 tier credits because I'd dropped off my CET play after the Diamond Lounge entry requirements changed.
Not sure if mlife is desperate or if this is an error. They dropped the Gold/Plat room rate discount from 20% to 10% in mid-July, which doesn't seem like a desperate move, but the more I think about it, my play hasn't changed much but my offers have been getting better over the last year (used to get 4 free nights with $50/75 freeplay and $100 resort credit and now seeing 4 free nights with $200 freeplay and $250 resort credit in this latest offer).
