Frontier Airlines should have emailed her a voucher for a random amount of value to be used on airfare only, not taxes and cic fees. Airfare on my typical itineraries is about 20 cents or less, hence my compensation when a cancellation or delay occurs is equal to whatever the airfare is on my next purchase, often about 18 cents. In better words, the compensation is a joke.

What type of compensation do you expect on a $0.20 ticket? Check your credit card for any travel insurance coverage you may have available. You should also get a meal voucher from Frontier for delays longer than three hours.

The plane ticket did not cost 20 cents. The ticket cost for example, 100 dollars. Frontier has decided to take 99% of the cost of the airfare and call it a non-refundable CIC ( airline resort fee). If I am given a 50 dollar voucher, I expect it to be worth 50 dollars. The Frontier accounting gimmick makes it worth 20 cents. How would you like it if Frontier offers you a voucher for 1000 dollars to give up your seat and when you go to use that voucher, you cannot receive one thousand dollars worth of value from it. For some reason, this sort of thing is not mentioned when they are offering the vouchers.
