Does purchasing miles count as accrual?
Hi,
Was just updating my FF spreadsheet, and noticed that my (wife's) miles are due to expire on December 31st. She's got about 110k miles -- mostly from the YX days and credit card.
Looks like it has been 18 months (nearly) since any accruals, as we've not flown F9 for quite some time, ever since options out of MKE got slashed.
So, we could book some tickets now to use them, but have no plans for the next 6 months or so that aren't already ticketed on other airlines.
Does anyone have any experience with buying miles to count as an accrual and extending the expiration? Looks like we could buy 1000 miles for about $26.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, buying points should extend the expiration of your miles per F9's accrual information page: http://www.flyfrontier.com/frequent-...guide/accruals
Consider filling in a survey or two on e-Rewards; you get 250 miles for signing up: http://www.flyfrontier.com/frequent-...pping-services

Didn't know about the e-rewards option -- used to be a member but seems my account is now locked out.
Gonna buy the 1000 miles. I'll report back on the outcome.
UPDATE: Miles posted immediately at purchase, and expiration date changed about an hour later. Good to go until 6/30/16. (Meaning we have that long to use the miles--not planning on paying for any flights again since everything from MKE now must go through DEN. Sad.)
