Frontier Voucher x 4

I booked 4 award seats BNA>DEN>BZN 2 weeks ago. BNA>DEN was delayed 3 hours due to mechanical failure. Frontier sent each of us a piddly $30 voucher that must be used within 6 months. I'm on a Summit match for 60 days so I got $50.

$50+$30+$30+30.

I don't have any immediate use for them since Frontier only flies 1 place from BNA. I don't plan to return to Denver before August.

Q1: Is there a trick to extend the expiration?
Q2: Is there a trick to add them together so I can use $140 toward 1 ticket?
Q3: Is there a trick to use them toward a different person than who flew originally?

Thanks,
James

GRRRR Frontier

Side note, this 3 hour delay nearly ruined my entire ski trip. The delay was on a Friday night, and since Frontier has only a handful of flights out of Nashville, they couldn't get me to Denver until Monday, the date of my return!

There was an available flight to Bozeman that same day on Delta through SLC but Frontier insisted that they can only rebook on Alaska (doesn't fly to BNA) or American (no seats until 3 days later because of Dallas ice storm). Buyer beware if you book Frontier during irregular operations.

Not that it makes up for what happened, but did Frontier give you a refund as well? Most airlines will provide a refund if a delay makes it a pointless trip (in your case, for example, you would get off the plane in Bozeman on Monday and get right back on).

@lowfareair

we had a 5 hour layover in Denver anyhow, so the 3 hour delay just turned the layover into 2 hours instead. We still made the trip.

I'm hoping I can find a way to make use of the $140 in credits. Seems pretty measly when 4 of us were delayed 3 hours. I'd like to think that our time is worth more than $12/hour.

The staff offered no snacks or drinks to anyone on the plane during the delay. I was surprised how they treated us.

Not offering snacks or drinks is disappointing, but I don't understand why you feel undercompensated. Yes, you were delayed 3 hours, but you were going to spend those at the Denver airport anyway when waiting for your connecting flight.

If you can combine the vouchers (not sure as I've never seen them before), you can fly BNA-TTN and go to New York or Philly for the weekend. There are several dates in May/June with tickets $115-$138 round trip.

I guess it has to do with my ignorance related to the Frontier compensation policy. I always fly Southwest Airlines, and they usually offer $200-$300/passenger if you are delayed for 3 hours. I suppose the distinction is that I still made my final destination just an hour late so they felt like no harm no foul.

I'm hoping I can figure out a way to use the vouchers. Great suggestion about Trenton.

If anyone has a way to combine them and/or use them for a passenger who wasn't delayed on the original trip, let me know. Thanks in advance.
