An outright sale is only one of the three options presented. The other two options are a private investor(s) and/or a spin-off involving RJET shareholders.
I agree that is a form of "sale" - but not what most seem to mean.
Using the template of the FAPA agreement (March 2011) Republic will become a minority investor in Frontier (and a patient one, BB says) by 2014. Under that plan, there would be an eventual IPO of Frontier, out of which Republic should expect to do extremely well.
Of course, this could change if another airline offered a big bunch of money, but as BB said, no one wanted Frontier last time, why should this time be different?
It is a long game and it is a money game. It isn't about airlines.
