Updated Integration Timeline

They've updated the timeline on FrontierMidwest.com to provide more details:

http://www.frontiermidwest.com/weare...line/#branding

I have a feeling we may see Wifi on at least the Airbus and maybe the ERJs if the IFE schedule is correct. There is an 11 month difference between the entire IFE timeline ending and the Wifi on the E70/90 ending.

Also, looks like EarlyReturns is here to stay. Also, point transfer will be available in a month (July 15).

Mentions fleet interiors and liveries will be standardized. Green leather on the E-Jets?

Policies will be aligned on July 1. Hopefully this will mean standard practices between mostly midwest and mostly frontier stations to help the customer experience.

November 1st appears to be the technology combination date. Can't wait to get that mess behind us.

I wondered about that too...the WiFi on the Ejets will be done 12/31/10 but inflight entertainment won't be done until 11/01/11. That says something else is at least on the drawing board. WiFi on other aircraft....Airbus or RJ or both...seems like a good possibility.

I have not been on a plane with green seats yet so I'll reserve judgement for now, but the traditional YX brown leather goes better with Frontier's green and white than it ever did with Midwest blue and grey. But I don't run the world. :-) And...green is unique. Back in the old days of Midwest when they spend large amounts of time and energy evaluating things like salt shakers, they did extensive research on possibly changing seat color. The consensus was that the brown leather was a distinctive brand item identified Midwest and set them apart, even from other leather-seat planes. Green seats on Frontier are unique, and going all-green makes a distinctive impression in a world of gray and blue. Just so it's not a garish distinction. And whatever they do, standardization is a really good thing.

Yes, yes, yes. My employees and I have had a few rough experiences in places like Dayton and Indianapolis where Frontier people handle YX* flights and in some cases had to call back to Milwaukee for help on YX policy.

You can now choose seats online for F9 operated flights booked through midwestairlines.com Can't pay for stretch seating though.

Good next step! I find it interesting that they are continuing to work on the YX platform to add functionality even though (I assume) the YX platform is the one going away when they combine this fall.

In any case, I'm glad they are making improvements rather than just letting the eventual merge "fix" these kind of things.

Seat maps are now compatible with maps offered on the F9 site.

Both now showing rows 8-10 blocked for economy seats depending on the type of aircraft. Also, flights operated by Republic appear to have a new flight number.

Future Reservations

If you are holding a future reservation on a Republic operated flight. You are going to have to call schedule change for a new record locator. Any seats you were assigned have now been changed due to the conversion to Classic Plus, Classic, and Economy fares.

This applies to flights after January 1.

I am not positive, but guessing this is for flights after November 1.
Interesting. Along with the new record locator will a new ticket number be issued with Frontier ticket stock begining with 422 (instead of YX 453)?

Ticket numbers appear unchanged, still using the originally issued ticket number.

Thanks. Having 422 tickets issued would have cleaned up some of the problems with the code share at check-in, etc...

STRETCH Seating

It now appears that January 1 is the day the YX booking engine eliminates the $25.00 fee for STRETCH seating.

If you have plans prior to that, and don't want to buy a Classic Plus ticket. Book before November 1 when the new booking engine is scheduled for launch.

Looking at the timeline posted by the OP, I'm unclear whether FF program integration is complete now or not actually truly complete until Dec. 1. IOW, what's the definitive date we're looking at for closing down the old fora here on FT?

Just to be clear I'm asking about housekeeping matters, not one of FF program merit.

Is the only criteria the merging of the FF program?

Thanks for posting in the thread. I made sure to update the timeline. I'm getting lazy and falling behind with updating FM.com. If everything goes right, the programs should come together next week.

Exactly the impetus for bumping this thread.
