Non smoking restaurants
I have despaired in finding a non smoking restaurant in Paris.I enjoy good food and there are so many great restaurants here but almost none have a genuine non smoking section .Most ,when I ask for a non smoking table - the waiter just sighs or says 'non' or the best has been they turn over the ashtray at our table - presumably as an indication that our table is non smoking !
Even worse , the local smokers have some very pungent smelling cigarettes and pipes .
Our best option to date has been to eat prior to 7.30 pm before most of the diners arrive but that is not always suitable. Can anyone recommend restaurants with genuine non smoking areas?

Many of the large brasseries (like Bofinger or the Wepler) have non smoking areas, but I can't vouch for their not being next to a smoking area. Many times it's a question of space, most restaurants not being large enough to make an effective distinciton. The Morosophe in the 17th has a non smoking side.
I know there are a few completely non-smoking restaurants in town (an Italian place in the 18th-- can't remember the name; Robert et Louise in the 3rd, most vegetarian restaurants...). I seem to remember that the Zagat's guide for Paris lists restaurants that are non smoking or have a real non smoking section.
