A taste of surge pricing with UBER
This past Monday, I had to travel by car between avenue Henri Martin and Stade de France (13km), a far shorter distance than travelling from the Northern half of Paris to CDG, with its EUR 55 fixed price.
No G7 available, so I had to take an UBER around 10AM and the cost was ... EUR 70
At 2PM, I took a G7 back to my point of origin, and the cost was ... EUR 23, including a EUR 4 surcharge.
I'll try to be better organized next time
and make sure I book my G7 earlier.

The situation with VTC at peak times is becoming ridiculous, after the recent new law came into effect leading to a decrease in licensed drivers.
Last week to go from gare de Lyon to north of Paris at 6 pm : Le Cab was 39 EUR, Uber 42 EUR
This is about twice the regular price. Taxi line was just crazy, so I ended up taking the mtro 
Also, trying to book Le Cab for Paris to CDG at 8:30 am : 70 EUR (while normally it is 49).
Not happy about the idea to have to use again taxis that I avoid as much as I can for several years now thanks to Uber and Le Cab.
