The situation with VTC at peak times is becoming ridiculous, after the recent new law came into effect leading to a decrease in licensed drivers.
Last week to go from gare de Lyon to north of Paris at 6 pm : Le Cab was 39 EUR, Uber 42 EUR This is about twice the regular price. Taxi line was just crazy, so I ended up taking the métro
Also, trying to book Le Cab for Paris to CDG at 8:30 am : 70 EUR (while normally it is 49).
Not happy about the idea to have to use again taxis that I avoid as much as I can for several years now thanks to Uber and Le Cab.
