First time on AY...and an MD-11 :'(
Hi all,
Taking AY on the MAN to KIX run on Monday morning.
Looking forward to a well earned holiday after a rather hellish year.
Just wondering a few things
1) What are the MD-11's like in the forward Y cabin?. I've got 26L but accordking to checkmytrip 21J is available. Which is better and can I trust it?
2) Do AY carry sake ? I want a bit to knock me out and do they take CC fo spirits ?
3) How is AY's big screen AV and food like ?
4) Wheres good to eat in Helsinki if you're fairly standard eater and I assume security is relatively painless?
5) I'm planning on taking a 22" rollaboard and my backpack. I don't have status on AY but was wondering if they'd let me get away with carry on only or do they force people to check?
Cheers

w00 checked in for the flight at T-36
Nabbed 3A on AY934 and 26L on AY77. I am verrrryyyyyy happy.
Looking at the seat map and seatcounter.com the loads look *VERY* light. Can someone check expert flyer to confirm please?
Cheers

I checked the seat map and HEL-KIX seems very empty. At this point there is nobody sitting next to you - hope it stays blocked for your flight. ^

Row 21 aka the economy cabin front bulkhead is quite ok on the MD11. But do not, repeat do not book that row on the 343 or 333. Very limited pitch on the widebody Airbuses.
