AY J/Y tkt combinations?
Recently I read that it would be possible to buy AY tkts with one way in Y and return in J. I cannot possibly find this function on the AY website... does it really exist or am I simply "lost"? Does the system offer you as economy only Y and as business only C or even some cheaper options?

I think the only way of doing that online is to buy oneway fares, TAs are of course handy as well..as they will do it for you in an eye blink..

Hi,

Are you sure you weren't confusing with combo fares which AY offer? EG ex Australia to SE Asia in Y then to HEL in J?

It certainly is possible, though sometimes flexible economy fares are required. For example:

AY 841 I 15FEB 7 HELAMS 0815 0950
AY 846 P 22FEB 7 AMSHEL 1905 2220
Price 1332 (PFLEX+IFLEX)


AY5904 R 15MAR 7 LHRHEL 1120 1620
AY 057 R 15MAR 7 HELPVG 1710 0820+1
AY 058 I 22MAR 7 PVGHEL 1025 1445
AY 833 I 22MAR 7 HELLHR 1600 1710
Price 1200 (RLECO+IFLEXEU)

You'll probably have to call AY or a decent travel agent to book it though.

Thanks! I just wonder why AY makes publicity for those combined fares, but is unable to bring them to its own website. The AY online reservation system is one of the poorest I have experienced during the past years (no multi stop options, no other OW flights etc.). Sometimes that system is unable to find such AY fares which are easily to be find on expedia or opodo.

I like AY, but the online reservation system should urgently be updated.
