DAT (Danish Air Transport) has operated some flights before. I remember the ATRs.

But the name is confusing. In this case it is DAT LT. Or is it DOT. Or DOT LT.

Even on the website the name occurs in several ways https://www.dot.lt

Not to mention that their A320s are 29 and 24 years old, respectively.

And DAT owns the majority of norra but that is another story.

Has the situation changed suddenly. It is only recently AY wet-leased a couple of Airbuses to BA

Also some of the CPH and OUL flights.

DAT LT to operate some of our Copenhagen, Oulu and Lisbon flights in summer 2022

Nothing has changed, cheap labour is always welcome. Like MAD/BCN..

Funny how Ole-boy talking about DAT as Danish and other höpö but operations will be by DAT LT.

Just wish those planes are so old that they have those nostalgic reclining J seats and 2-2, you might win!

Being 198cm most of these lieflats are very poor for sleeping for me so actually I wouldn’t mind too much to have the 2+2/3+2 recliners AY had on the M11s 20 years ago🤩

Especially when travelling together they were nice, privacy wise not so much…but it was standard those times and I miss it..food/beverage was also not too sustainable..

This could actually be the case if the aircraft in question is OY-RUY, ex-SaudiGulf Airlines which was delivered to Kaunas 2 days ago. Seems however likely though that DAT revamps the cabin before taking the aircraft in use.

I don't get it. Finnair leases own planes to IAG and then leases some crappy old fleet from DAT LT to cover the missing planes. And still some own 320-series planes parked at PRG - or at least there was last week.

Makes me feel like a really valued customer on my weekly trips to OUL.

It's only math, cheap labour saves money. Nothing to do with missing planes, fleet parked or summer season.

It makes perfect sense. Many FAs have taken up other jobs during the eternal lay-offs. Same probably applies to cockpit crew. It is cheaper for AY to wetlease a 29-year old Lithuanian plane with crew than to hire new FAs & cockpit crew and overnight them at LIS.

Let’s indeed hope it’s this aircraft. It’s less than 7 yrs old.
