Wrapping up 2020!
This very strange year of aviation, but let’s keep the traditions on the track!
I will list this time also booked trips, but later cancelled or pushed next year?
Airports: 4 (HEL, OUL, KUO, AMS) + 10 (HAJ, TXL, CAN, LHR, DOH, CDG, LCY, SNN, JFK, MIA)
Carriers: 1 (AY) + 3 (BA, QR, AA)
Segments: 8 + 18
Countries: 1 + 6
Longest: HEL-AMS (CAN-HEL)
Shortest: HEL-KUO
Northernmost: OUL
Southernmost: AMS (CAN)
Westernmost: AMS (MIA)
Easternmost: KUO (CAN)
How about others?

Sad that we can wrap up the year in October
Unique Airports 10 (BKK, BUD, DUS, DXB, HEL, KUL, LHR, MUC, SIN, WAW)
Carriers 4 (AY, SQ, MH, LH)
Countries 9
Segments 21
Total flown 50168 km
Longest HEL↔SIN, 9275 km
Shortest DUS↔MUC, 484 km
Northernmost HEL (60.32°N 24.96°E)
Southernmost SIN (1.35°N 103.99°E)
Westernmost LHR (51.47°N 0.46°W)
Easternmost SIN (1.35°N 103.99°E)
8 (2x4 months) months total no flying
AY Plat renewed, TK *G renewed, both later extended, so I'm good nearly until the middle of the decade

Very sad indeed. Only a few trips this year:
That‘s it.
Canceled trips include HNL, EDI, PDX, several HEL and LHR...
- BSL-LHR-ABZ return on BA
- ZRH-HEL-TLL return on AY
- ZRH-FRA-TLL return on LH
- BSL-LHR-NQY-LHR-GVA on BA
- ZRH-PRG return on LX
- ZRH-ZTH return on WK
- GVA-ZRH-ARN return on LX and LLA-ARN on SK
That‘s it.

This year no longhauls at all, just days before my first booked flight to BKK the whole thing came to a full stop, and I m sitting on vouchers worth a couple of thousand Euros. This was the first year for over 28 years with no trip to BKK and no trip to the US - feels strange.

I'm refusing to wrap up the year already. There are still plenty of flights to fly, such as Finnair's last flight to TXL and the next day out from "new" BER. Also I'm sure I can squeeze something for December....
But the year so far looks like this:
72 segments
63688 km
Top routes:
HEL↔OUL 16
HEL↔LHR 10
HEL↔VAA 10
TLL↔HEL 7
HEL↔AMS 4
HEL↔RVN 4
HEL↔VIE 4
HEL↔KTT 3
I did manage to squeeze in a long-haul this year before bats hit the fan but otherwise the amount of domestic and short haul segments is mind blowing!
One trip to highlight was the Airveteran DC-3 round trip from Helsinki (not Vantaa) to Kauhava (back to Vantaa due to weather) to see an air show!

2020 has literally been my saddest travelling year since I was 2 years old... Only one trip, and not even to Europe:
4 Airports, 2 airlines:
BKK-NRT-SAN-ORD-NRT-BKK in J on JL with the domestic on AA.
And that was in February, just before Thailand shut its borders too

At least I can say the majority of my flying was in F...
One single trip (CPH-FRA-TUN-DOH-MEL-HBA R/T).
This year I've spent more time handling involuntary changes, chargebacks and adapting to entry restrictions than in air.
Now, wrap up this crap.

10 return flights London-Helsinki and 2 return flights London-Bangkok with Finnair, all in business.
Also British Airways flights London-Naples return and London-Stockholm return.
I had 4 more Bangkok flights booked but got cancelled.
Still to come rest of year 3 more London-Helsinki flights.
