OTOH it has been very good for me. I've plenty of time to do some forestry, renovate house, hobbies etc. With previous years' 200+ travel days most of those things had been postponed for years.

Not wrapping yet, still 2 months left but this year turned pretty normal after all.

All flying stopped for 3 months in March but then double tier -campaign made summer very very busy and it looks like apprx. 85 flights total for this year. And naturally it's all short hauling.

I miss long hauls so much that I have to watch Sam Chuis vlogs again and again.

Definitely not the most thrilling year overall. However having chance to fly LH F in feb wrapped the year right at the start.

So far:
13 airports: HEL KUO OUL RVN ARN TLL LED DME FRA HAJ DUS LHR YYZ CUN MEX
6 airlines: AY LH AC 4O EW S7
Times left EU while standing still: 1
Cancelled continents: 2

Looking forward to experiences this year: BER opening (maybe postponed due to newly announced lockdown) and of course more domestic flying (HEL-KUO via JOE and also JOE-KUO by JS Aviation).

Yeap! Totally unforgettable trip and one that might be impossible to replicate for years. World will definitely be different after all of this. Luckily we'll get new things to replace what we thought to be cool earlier.

The 748 will probably be the only aircraft left on LH with F given that the A346 and A380 are being retired "unless the market makes a rapid recovery" and no A330's have F cabins either, so I am glad you got to do it before the final nail in the coffin.

Indeed, spare time on our hands!

For the last 20 years some 75% of all my flights took place within one week of another flight. 97,6% of flights had less than 90 days hiatus between flights.

My current hiatus of 291 days is the third longest on record. In 2002 and 2006 I had two breaks of over a year, but in those days I did not fly very much anyway.

Carriers: 2 (AY, AA)
Segments: 10
Countries: 3
Longest: LAX-HEL
Shortest: HEL-OUL
Northernmost: OUL
Southernmost: PHX
Westernmost: LAX
Easternmost: OUL

Jan 2020 KUO-HEL-LHR-HEL-KUO and KUO-HEL-AMS-HEL-KUO. Feb 2020 KUO-HEL-AMS-HEL-KUO and that's it. Have modified my credentials accordingly. Plat extension until April 2021 currently. And for the next season (guaranteed with 450k+ tier points - traded quite a bunch of reward points thinking of their non-usefulness in the near future and a step ahead towards LTG).

OT: HHonors is giving status during 2021 for half the nights/stays/spend and rolls all the nights from 2020 over to year 2021 to give a head start. E.g., only 15 stays for Diamond, very reachable.

Yeah, nothing to cheer about this year...

Managed a BRU-DOH-PEN-LGK-KUL-DOH-BRU in mid-Feb before everything changed, though.

Here we go, with one Lapland trip still to come in Dec and included here:

Airports: 8 (HEL, BRU, FRA, DOH, KUL, PEN, LGK, KTT)
Carriers: 4 (AY, LH, QR, MH)
Segments: 20
Countries: 5
Longest: KUL-DOH
Shortest: PEN-LGK
Northernmost: KTT
Southernmost: KUL
Westernmost: BRU
Easternmost: KUL

Cancelled (already ticketed) trips include HKG (x2), SGN, PQC, NCE, GVA, ZAG.

I assume LHE is a typo and the salad bar is working. If it's not, wow! I did see that Pakistan is open for travel.
