Still keep going on, given my demise to nearly pleb status, I had to beg for my, literally, better half to make the call. Request was pushed (tökkäisty) towards trash bi...the other department but no luck. So, maybe chances for clearing are still there but it is also bit annoying how this system essentially hijacks the vouchers and points for indefinite period of time. So, book on the class you want to fly and use points for...something, koristeluraappa's perhaps, or lunches with ePassi.

1:1 conversion because lounasseteli is premium-voucher that clears immediately without waitlisting.

And after a year or so, this will be enhanced to require going through a waitlist "as a benefit to our top tier customers".

It was used in the age of telefaxes and when an i386 processor was a speed devil

Those were the days...Finnair’s fleet was mostly of California/Missouri origin...they never ran out of champagne and and free flowing Remy Martin was served, also in coach..☺️

As we already gone way off-topic, can someone remember the exchange rate Markka to Krona (in the era of telefax)?

On 31 December 1997 looks like you needed approximately 0.7 Markkas to buy a Krona.

In 1993 the range was 100 mk = 129-138 kr

Back to topic, it would be good to collect some data points here from Gold/Plats/Lumos (though I don't think Lumos ever get any issues..) about cases where people are losing their vouchers due to requests not clearing and hence losing expired vouchers as a result. This is not so relevant for points as they basically don't expire anymore. So far I have had none but the next few moths might start seeing them going. If that happens systematically...well......and, if possible it would also be nice to know the fare class availability at the stage when upgrade was finally denied/waitlist closed.

I really hate the limited validity of the vouchers - therefore I tend to use them at first opportunity and use points only when the vouchers are all gone.

I always do the same...however with the new system this doesn’t help much, I have already waitlisted some upgrades for >6 months...with wide open I9 availability...🤬😟
