ARN-HEL dinner
In case you're wondering what's inside the sandwich, it was a chicken-cheese oatbread. I remember some years ago there was a plate but that was gone now...

Indeed, used to come on a tray with a Fazer chocolate and a coffee cup. They took them away for sustainability reasons of course.

HEL-FCO: good salmon starter, quite terrible beef stew, läskisoosi style and didn’t taste the dessert.

Not good, but the champagne suffices.

Does anyone know what this unappealing vegetarian meal I just had on HEL-AGP might be? I couldn’t tell.

Maybe the yellow thing was some kind of cassava squashed together? And the brown stuff I assumed was fake meat with various vegetable bits.

The starter was pieces of tofu in an indeterminate yellowish/orange sauce mixed with quinoa. I liked the pea shoots on the top (had those in the HEL Platinum lounge on top of a very good fish and potato dish I really enjoyed). The pink sludge on the side of the starter was very off putting and I stayed away from it.

Not impressed with the dessert either. BA does much better in business class.

That yellow stuff is probably kvinoa. And the "fake meat" is just lentils. Its probably some type of Dal, an important part of cuisine of the Indian subcontinent. In the middle, there are different vegetables.

To be fair, this was a specially ordered vege meal. Perhaps it is the AY way of asking pax not to order special meals…

I have had it before too. I think it (the yellow stuff) tasted a bit like polenta.

Quinoa isn’t yellow: I’ve only ever seen white or red or black quinoa. Didn’t taste at all like lentils to me or dal, and I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food over the years.
