On ARN flights, a cold sandwich with beverages is served. On all other SH flights, the service includes "a hot main meal, something sweet and beverages".
Beverages include sparkling wine (Bernard-Massard Cuvée de l'Ecusson), white wine, red wine, beer, cognac, whiskey, vodka, cream liquor and soft drinks.
Iberia-operated MAD and BCN flights have Iberia service with starter, hot meal and proper dessert. On these flights, a different set of beverages is served (IB selection).

That is quite interesting. So the 3 hour limit does not apply always. Should we gather information about hot meal destinations. Didn’t some one tell that ZRH is one. Ticket to Naples cost as much as to Rome so this does not make any sense. I’ve planned to buy a ticket to Bologna (flight time is 3 hours) so I think I’ll be disappointed.

Also MXP is a warm meal in C. These BLQ/NAP/etc. over 3 h salad routes seems to be one more whimsy (i.e., scam) by AY.

Well, our flight got diverted to Rome Campino airport due to Naples airport runway closure. Eventually landed in Naples 3 hours late and after luggage and taxi chaos we were at hotel by midnight. More substanial onboard meal would have been well appriciated by that time.
