Didn't AY operate to HAJ perhaps 20 years ago? STR was mentioned above. Is there potential with any further German destinations?
Russia should have some opportunities, but I assume prices in that market have come down over the past 10 years as there is now more competition.
I'm not convinced N.America to Asia has any potential - ok, certainly seats can be filled, but at ridiculously low prices.

This spring Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Sochi opened for Finnish operators, AY see opportunities there for sure. But probably not just yet...
Yes Finnair announced KUL via BKK in 2007 but the capacity was suddenly moved elsewhere in Asia.

I think what the OW airlines ended up doing is giving CX CAN and TPE given that they all codeshare. Would be nice to have a TPE route though.

AY started to codeshare with TAP after they began to flights to Helsinki. Not a big loss as they have better onboard product (hot meals in economy, free newspapers and alcohol). Lisbon is quite difficult market for AY as the aircraft has to overnight at LIS to be able feed Asian flights, TAP has lower staff costs and revenue advantage (ability to feed flights to Latin America).

LEJ was offered only once in September so they treated GDR and FRG equally.

I don't know if AY still has a base at BKK anymore, but seeing how there is one in SIN, would there be any chance for fifth-freedom routes from there? I can see SYD/MEL or KUL/CGK possible, but would the competition be too much?
