Overhead bin space on E90

I was supposed to fly AA HEL-ORD, but have been rerouted because AA postponed the start of the flights to mid-June. Now I'm flying HEL-MAN on AY and MAN-ORD on AA.

HEL-MAN is operated with an E90 and I will have an exit row seat (in Y) so no floor storage. Since I want to travel with only a carry-on, I am now worried about whether the overhead bins are large enough to accommodate my bag. The measurements are 55 x 40 x 26 cm.

Does anyone here have experience or information about the size of the E90 bins? Last time I had to fly an Embraer I actually thought about bringing a tape measure on board, but forgot. The bin looked rather small, but the FA said most bags fit in there.

I'd be grateful for any insights.

The Rimowa cases, both the normal IATA trolley (the old stand. plat gift) and the pilot version that AY were handing out some years ago do fit in the bins on the jungle jets. Please see exact measurements:

I'd say you're fine with yours.

Officially

-> Specifications

"Carry-on Bag Size:
24 x 16 x 10 in
61 x 40 x 25 cm"

...but I'm sure the extra cm will not be a problem at least unless you stuff it ridiculously full and bulging.

Excellent, thanks! On the outbound, the bag won't be too full so no problem.

To follow up after yesterday's flight: my max. size carry-on bag fits in the E90 overhead bin without problems. Very tight, but perfectly doable. However, to be able to close the bin, no part of the bag can be at the bin lock.

Hope this helps other travellers too! And thanks for everyone's help.
