Well they ought to start selling really cheap iPads and knock off Ray Bans, because it worked for Amazon.

Obviously a stretch, but if BA's goal is to become a mile wide and an inch deep, all of the noise will continue to turn off readers. So when the MS game finally goes splat, what there won't be any more newbs to alienate and the readers that left won't come back.

And I'll be laughing at Randy for his split personality posts a few weeks ago that he never bothered to clarify.

Randy's posting style has not changed since I first encountered it in 1998.

IOW, stop holding your breath. ;)

Ha - well then, I suppose I should manage my expectations a little better!

Yet, pretty much agree with sbm12's sentiments. Also, there must be a Tillamook rewards program. There just must be. :D

Not directly, but there's probably some sort of possible angle involving manufactured spend to buy Walgreen's gift cards and then using that GC while getting points through the Walgreen's loyalty program.

Gary is off writing about US Foreign policy today. Is he a thought leader here too?

Also can't help but notice how his quoted material contains the same spelling mistakes and word omissions that are ubiquitous on his blog. So... I'm guessing it's not a quote after all.

Have to ask, who is the other René?

I think it's time he explains himself "to the angrys" or learns that there's a reason his computer is trying to autocorrect to "angries"

Alright I read it, granted it's late, but which part in particular?

Just wanted to know which René wrote it

"The Time the Air Marshall Sprung to Action on My Flight."

For those of you who remember struggling with irregular verb conjugations in French or whatever other foreign language(s) you took, that was nothing. You should try English!

The substance of this particular article is something of a letdown as well. I'm not sure, but I think it's an example of what some of you call "clickbait."

Personally, I thought the title was sort of . . . interesting.

Didn't see this one. Who was the author? Err... Who was the poster? :D

I've been a daily reader for years, but it's really becoming apparent how far BA has devolved, even within the past few months. Low-to-no content trip reports in 27 parts. Two-week-old news being reposted as fresh. Childlike, cartoony blogs that serve little real purpose. Obvious spelling and grammar errors everywhere like nobody proofreads anything. It's really just sad.

Le Chic Geek, I believe

Yes, and the article is significantly worse than I indicated above.

Basically, it's the first half of an anecdote -- an air marshal identifies himself and intervenes in an on-board incident -- but without the conclusion: we never even find out how things turned out!

There is, in other words, such a thing in this world as narrative construction. But evidently not in this particular corner of Boarding Area.

Who ever heard of starting a story and then not finishing it?
