No.

The site itself shows its part of the Prior 2 Boarding network.

Always has been AFAIK. P2B blogs occasionally get "featured" and additional exposure on the BA home page. There are also some slots on the BA homepage which consistently feature P2B content.

In what BA indoctrination seminar does Randy start pushing for the inclusion of a "Bottom Line" at he end of every post?

It's pretty much Blogging 101 if you look around the industry. Have a quick summary at the end of a post and then a call for action (asking if they agree/disagree, encouraging comments, etc.).

Pretty sure Blogging 101 is 'don't slavishly copy what other people do because it makes you look like a sheep' :-)

A look at page rankings of those who do and those who don't would probably indicate otherwise. I mean yeah they may look like sheep but they still get a massive ton of traffic.

I just find the whole "engagement" false. The bloggers Do Not Care what the readers think. It's just to get clicks/comments/controversy.

Agreed.

It is most obviously hollow and forced.

Amazon does not care if you mention them. In that sense it is different than the CC companies. And I doubt the FTC would care either based on what I remember of the guidance doc.

Self-quote as I received an email this morning with new policies from Amazon.

Pertinent part of the agreement:

You must, however, clearly state the following on your site: “[Insert your name] is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to [insert the applicable site name (amazon.com or myhabit.com)].”

Not new, they've had that disclosure requirement for years.
