Male Flight Attendants Will Debut December
According to this: https://udn.com/news/story/7241/4014644 , 18 men started their training on the 26th of August. The training is 80 days and they will be flying in December.
The report also said they announced they will hire male FAs in July during the strike and out of the 300 people who applied, 70% were men.
They are all internal hires from EVA.

I’m hearing some complaints from current FAs because the new class of men will keep their original base salary, which is higher than the FAs. This is because FA salary is mostly made up of flight time, so they should start with a lower base. So it’s possible that some of these men will make more than junior CPs.

It will be interesting to see whether these new male FAs actually perform all of the junior FA duties on board, and in the same ratio: Cleaning toilets and picking up dirty service items versus serving wine and taking meal orders. I've observed the division of duties on some carriers, even if they now have female pursers.

It will definitely be interesting to see what happens.
It is probably hard to assign specific tasks based on gender because there are so few male FAs. The female FAs have done fine without guys all these years.
However, it would be interesting to see if the girls pull back and let guys do "guy tasks" (e.g. lifting heavy bags, etc.). It certainly will cut down on male passengers making up reasons to take advantage of female FAs as they might get a male FA
