I like the basic, plus, and standard fares. Reward those who give you worthy business while maintaining a profitable environment on tickets not generating much.
Surprising change is Green to Silver is now 4 flights and 30k miles!
Those are positive changes.
Also glad they didn't give free wifi away.

I've created a wiki for the changes that will apply March 5th and onwards.

My travel agent received advice of these changes yesterday. Please note that until 5 March the changes do not apply. So, to upgrade a flight in late March you can do so now under the existing rules and mileage requirements. You have to wait until 5 March to access the reduced miles (if applicable). I’ll hold out until 5 March as the difference for our flights is 9000 miles per person.

Trying to parse what this means (I also couldn't find the relevant text on the website).

Does this mean *Gold will receive no special seat selection benefits?

Yep! No special benefits for *G. Certain things have not been posted online but the call center can answer all your questions. I have already called TPE to clarify all rules to better this Wiki.

You will continue to receive the *G benefits guaranteed i.e. extra luggage allowance, priority boarding etc.

Also some service changes, FA's are told they must serve front to back for all meals to better benefit the preferred seating pax.

Hope someone can clarify the free wifi, maybe I have not had enough coffee but I cannot work it out.
I have(already booked) a RL flight LHR-BKK-LHR in May and the booking class is D.
Will I get free wifi?
If I will, do they give me a code on board.
Sorry if the answer is in plain sight but I just cannot find it.
Thanks

I am IML Gold Card and my next flight will be after March 5th. Flying from SGN to JFK in PE on K fare. Does this mean I’ll receive a total of 150% of miles? 125% for K fare and an extra 25% tier bonus for being IML Gold? If so I can get use to the new extra 25% just for having gold status as I make this round trip flight 3-4x a year and will see a drastic increase in accrued mileage. Thanks in advance

Adding to this question—does the tier bonus stack with the birth month bonus?

Accrued mileage will have a drastic increase...however, bonus tier miles and birth month bonuses only count as "award miles", so they do not apply towards status upgrade or renewal. You must continue to fly and accrue like you used to.

Bonus stacks with birth month bonus, there is no bonus limit.

I phrased my question wrong. For birth month, do you get a bonus of 100% of a) original miles or b) original miles + bonus tier miles?

I’m assuming (a).

From their website (and to answer your question, it would be the first option):
By flying EVA Air on birth month, Silver Card,Gold Card or Diamond Card will be credited extra bonus Award Miles as a birthday gift. The calculation is based on the highest amount of purchased fare class status miles.

I'm planning to book a flight on BR Premium Economy sometime soon.
Is there any benefit to wait until March 05 to book it, or any benefit to get in before the new rules kick in?

(I don't have any large pile of FF points or anything like that.)

I assume this change does not affect *A upgrade awards from partner airlines - and I would hope it doesn't result in a tripling or quadrupling of BR B fares NA>Asia>NA.
