And the first flight to the USA had just took off.
So, this means that at least there is a temporary FAA/TSA license for Istanbul Airport.

Just to tell you that as far as I've seen from the FIDS it's not true that TK has reserved C-D-E gates for themselves in the international concourse as they are the closest concourses to transfer security and regular passport control. Indeed, C and E gates are mostly used by foreign carriers and as well as concourse D is used by random carriers as well.
Also, just to mention, some airlines that wasn't assigned jet bridges at Atatürk Airport ( due to their long wait ) have been started to operate flights from jet bridges. The Singapore Airlines flight always operated from a bus gate at Atatürk ( for the last few years ) and for today's flight gate B18 is used which is not a bus gate. I would also check the nightspotters ( BA, PS ) this night.
Check the lounge thread in the Turkish Airlines forum.

@ISTFlyer Do you know if there is segregated transfer routes for EU/US/Canada flights or everyone is dumped into the same arrival concourse?

We will have a few hour layovers at the new airport in a couple of weeks and just wonder about the lounges there too.
