I have 1hr 25 to transit from a Kenya Airways flight in Amsterdam, ex NBO, onto an EI flight to DUB. Is that realistic?

Is this one booking or two separate ones? If it's one booking - no problem.

Thanks aviatrix. Yes it's one booking. I've booked all the way through to DUB from NBO. I just don't know AMS very well...and I think d air Kenya flight comes in at a different terminal to that which the Dublin flight leaves from.

There is only one terminal - with a number of gate areas (or "Piers") leading off from a central area.

Your flight from NBO is likely to arrive at a G or F gate - or possibly E.

Your Dublin flight will almost definitely depart from a D gate.

You will go through security on arrival.

Unless something goes very wrong at security, that sounds entirely doable to me. You can walk from between G and D gates in 10 minutes (assuming a reasonable degree of fitness, 15 if slow) and F is between D and G. If you have heavy bags, grab one of the little airside shopping trolleys to put it on to speed yourself up.

The OP will have to clear immigration at AMS.
The AMS-DUB is within the Schengen area so immigration (and security) will be done at AMS
Immigration lines in AMS tend to be quick.

Please explain.

Immigration will be done at AMS. If you're running late, show your boarding pass to the agents guarding the queues, they will allow you to the fast queue if necessary.
No need to go through security as far as I remember.

Right.
Even easier then, as no immigration to pass.
