Transfer in GVA
I'll be transfering from UA974 to an LH flight to DUS in a couple of weeks - does anyone know if there is an arrival lounge in GVA or if the Swiss lounge there has showers? I'll be in C using a SWU.

Thanks, but I looked at this before posting and it's not explicit. It doesn't mention the First Class Lounge as having them either, though I'm sure they have showers.

In the LX SEN lounge, to which you'll have access, there are not even bathrooms - you have to go outside to use public toilets on the upper level where the various lounges are located. (This is true for both the J and F sides of the lounge.)
GVA is just a regional airport with few connecting passengers, but if it does have shower facilities, the GVA's website should have the information.

There are paying showers, but none in the lounges. Remember very few people actually connect in GVA. There's not a lot of long-haul traffic.
According to the GVA website, there are paying showers just about everywhere, including apparently in the transit area. I know where the ones in the arrivals area are, but for the life of me the ones mentioned as being in the transit area, near the lounges, don't mean anything to me at all, though I go through the lounges pretty often.
As this is my home airport, I wouldn't need to use them anyway, but if you do find them, post back and let us know what you find.

I just had need to use these showers last week and thought I would provide an update to this thread.
We identified two sets of pay showers. The first set is at international baggage claim - before you pass through customs. There are two shower rooms down near Carousel 6 but you need to get tokens at the Swissport desk near Carousel 2. It's 15 SF for the token and Swissport only takes cash. The showers are adequate but no amenities or anything of the sort.
The other set of showers is outside of customs. You can get a token at the Swissport information desk outside of customs (Gold Desk). The showers are to then to the right down near the post office.
There were three in our travel group and we had all planned to use the showers outside customs but because there were only two, one of us was admitted back through customs to use the showers near Carousel 6.
