Etihad 332 has the diamond zone "suites"?

Hello,

We're flying Cairo to Abu Dhabi in February in F on Etihad and were wondering if anyone knows what the seat type is on this 330-200?

Have never flown them but have seen pictures of the newest seats which look nice and rotate 180 degrees, so you can "dine" with the pax in front of you.

Anyone have any information?
Thanks in advance!

Etihad operates two versions of the A330-200. The 3 class aircraft is fitted with PW engines & a form of flat bed in diamond. The website says there's 18 seats with 75" seat pitch.
http://www.etihadairways.com/etihada...t/A330-200.htm

The other A330-200s are RR powered & fitted with a 2 class interior including the Pearl flat beds.

B767-300s also grace the Cairo route. The website only says that there are 10 Diamond Zone seats.

NONE of these seats will be the Diamond Zone suite. That is a perk only available on the A340-500/600 on premium routes to LHR/JFK. Service should be the usual Diamond Zone standard. e.g. AMAZING

Thanks for the info, but I'm really confused about this.

The website says 18 seats in F in this 332, but then their own "live"
seat map (showing us as the only 2 in the cabin at this point) shows only 10 seats in a 1-2-1 configuration but with row 3 having only the 2 window seats and no center seats for total of 10.

Their website also refers to one "new" 332 which HAS the new Diamond suites (?)

Also, the C class on the website shows 36 seats, but the actual seatmap shows only 24 seats.

Is this an upgraded aircraft?

Thanks

Suites are only on A340-500/600 series aircraft. The Etihad website is frankly appauling when it comes to seat maps & seat information. When the launched operations with a pair of TAM A330-200s, they had a TAM/old AZ or some config. They also leased half a dozen or so other A330s/B767s other aircraft from all over the place. You can't easily find out what aircraft interior you'll get if it's an A330. ALL NEW ETIHAD AIRCRAFT - direct from the manufacturer will include Etihads signature interiors.

That's not totally true. I once had on AUH-FRA flight an A330 with the Diamond Suites in F.

Firstly, the EY website is a disaster - it is extremely confusing and very out of date.

The 3 class A330s have non "suite" type F class (unless something has changed recently - which is quite possible.)

http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=503012&nseq=16

These planes have those horrible minty green coloured J class seats

The A340s have the better seats:

http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5902346&nseq=8 (A340-500)
http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=6079096&nseq=0 (A340-600)

Some cities that see these planes are LHR,YYZ,JFK,SYD

Cheers,

Thanks everyone for the information.

I called Etihad and they cannot tell me what "kind" of seats are in use, but the layout is 1-2-1, which SOUNDS like the "newer" seats, but who knows?

I'll report back after the trip.

If anyone knows what the meal service on a flight leaving Cairo for Abu Dhabi at 3:40 PM in F is like, please don't hesitate to let me know!

Thanks Again

On my flight to FRA there was an A330 with exactly the same Suites I had on a brand new A340-500. So they will also equip their A330s with those seats. But I am also sure that not all of them have the suites in F.

Do you remember if the set-up looked like this? (total = 10 seats)

X--XX--X
X--XX--X
X-------X

Thanks!

A330 definitely have the new seats according to a. net photos.

http://www.airliners.net/open.file?i...l=CABIN&size=L

If the link doesn't work, just search cabin on airliners.net/search and etihad airways and you can see for yourself.
