Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone had news about Etihad status extensions due to the pandemic? My gold status expired at the end of April, but I likely would have been able to extend it with trips in mid-March and early April. Those trips were cancelled of course. I've been on the phone with them a few times and they keep saying that they haven't heard anything from management, but to my understanding, guests with their status expiring in March had theirs existing tier extended to July 2021 whether they were going to requalify or not.

Wondering if anyone had information for those with statuses expiring in April, May and now June?

My gold card got renewed recently , but I did have enough tier miles already. I did read on another thread that if you were close to retaining a level , you were automatically given that level again . When I say close , I mean a couple of thousand tier miles ....Look through some other threads and I'm sure you'll come across it

Etihad have been crediting my Guest account with 3000 tier miles per month for the last 4 months and recrediting any expired guest miles. I was under the impression all Guest members were benefitting from this and has been done to enable members to maintain status.

Etihad Guest Bonus Tier Miles - COVID-19 Support.

1. Who is eligible for the monthly Bonus Tier Miles

All active Etihad Guest Members are eligible for the monthly bonus Tier Miles.

2. How have Etihad Guest calculated the bonus Tier Mile amounts?

Amounts have been calculated as a monthly average of miles members earn flying with Etihad Airways and are required to maintain their existing Tier.

3. When do I get credited the bonus Tier Miles

The bonus Tier Miles will be automatically credited into your account by the last day of each eligible month.rt

4. From when is this effective?

The bonus Tier Miles will be credited starting 31 March, for three months ending May 2020. Extensions will be considered as more information comes available.

5. Where will it show?

The monthly bonus Tier Miles will show in your account, and you can check your balance in your monthly e-statement

6. Does it apply for members within a Family Membership?

Yes, each member will be credited their respective bonus Tier Miles.

7. Is this applicable for Etihad Guest Miles?

Only Tier Miles will be credited to your account.

I chatted the other day to cutomer service and they told me that they have extended the status monthly bonus till September 2020. I couldn't find it anywhere on their site though.

Confirmed just now that they are extending the free tier miles for another three months

The original end date was May, so that would make it an additional four months. Either way its good news.

July's are not due until later in the month.

I had May's credited my account on May 15 and June's five days later which I assume was a faux pas crediting them so early.
