EY A380 First Class - No Availability 2020
I could be wrong, but I'm seeing no A380 F class availability (paid or otherwise) for the remainder of 2020, even on routes with an A380 still in the schedule. This doesn't affect non A380 F availability.
Is this a glitch or intentional?

On the basis that they would not be taking out First from the whole A380 fleet this sounds odd and more likely a glitch or perhaps they are in process of review the fares (upwards)

I wonder if those with many miles have booked along with those seeing it as a definite social distancing method

id say a glitch. the metal is likely to be swapped. the product will remain. I believe just showers will be cancelled so they might be augmenting pricing and inventory.

I know the equipment has F but just not able to book it. Spoke to customer care and they have purposefully blocked it out / removed inventory. Was told to either leave my number and they will check from time to time for me, or to keep looking online.

Someone replying to onemileatatime suggested the issue may be related to the shower and bathrooms as a whole as the attendant that cleans them isn't crew but staff for which there are no allowances for Quarantine etc, Emirates had an issue with this last year and I can only imagine Covid making that worse. Else the Govt is keeping them as the ultimate social distancing in the air

I don't believe the shower issue, as if it's not in use, they simply don't turn the system on. Loo still works. I've flown several times when its out of action.
I think most likely is potentially switching to different metal dye to loads and so they don't want people buying tickets that then need to be refunded/compensated etc.
